It is with great regret that we announce the passing of Barry M. Nathanson, DDS on March 19, 2012.
Dr. Nathanson attended Northwestern University Dental School and after a General Practice residency and one year in practice, he attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he received his certificate in endodontics in 1976. He joined a practice in Buffalo Grove, IL and then established a practice with Evan Rumack in Arlington Heights and Bloomingdale.
Dr. Nathanson joined the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club in 1976 and was one of the founding members and second president of the Illinois Association of Endodontists. He was also a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society. He was also past president of the Long Grove Park District and was very active in the Buffalo Grove Recreation Association; he was an avid equestrian as well.
Dr. Nathanson is survived by his wife, Fran and children Stacey (Frank) Spertl and Eric. But his granddaughter Kyra was his greatest achievement. He will be missed by all who know him.
The Edgar D. Coolidge Club would like to congratulate Dr. Peter Paesani upon receiving the Dr. Scott Erikson Memorial Award from the Winnebago County Dental Society in 2011.
Peter was president of the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club from 1984-1985 is the club’s historian and is a life member of the club.
The Edgar D. Coolidge Club wishes to congratulate Dr. Jerome V. Pisano who will receive the Edgar D. Coolidge Award at the American Association of Endodontics Annual Session in Boston.
Dr. Pisano is past president of the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club from 1990-1991 and American Association of Endodontists president 1996-1997.
The Coolidge Club congratulates these local endodontists who have attained Diplomate Status of the American Board of Endodontics in 2011
