25th Anniversary

Twenty-Five Years of Education and Fellowship

The Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club’s 25th Anniversary Founders Day Black Tie Dinner Dance was held on September 13, 1986, at the O’Hare Westin Hotel. This was held in honor of the four founders, Dr. James Best, Dr. Harold Gerstein, Dr. Michael Heuer and Dr. Harold Epstein. Dr. Epstein was unable to attend the event.

The Charter Members were also given recognition and those attending were Dr. Best, Dr. Gerstein, Dr. Heuer, Dr. Vincent Milas, Dr. Henry Kahn and Dr. Allen Klein. The Charter Members not present for this function were Dr. Shephard, Dr. Maurice and Dr. Sowle.

The officers of the American Association of Endodontists who attended were Dr. Heuer, President, Dr. Maggio, Secretary and Irma Kudo, Executive Director. The non-members of the club included Dr. Norman Olsen, Dean of Northwestern University School of Dentistry, Dr. Noel Ianno of Rockford, Illinois and Dr. Richard Menke of Worthington, Ohio.

This was also the 58th wedding anniversary for Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Miles. The evening began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner and the program, and ended with dancing.

Dr. Frank Weine was the Master of Ceremonies and Dr. Peter Paesani was the Chairman of the Founder Day Committee.

A good time was had by all who attended.
